Born in Higashi-Osaka City, Osaka Pref.
Enrolled at Doshisha International Junior High School

In the 6th grade of elementary school, after intense study, my deviation score (Hensa-chi) jumped from the low 30s mid-range to the high 60s

Enrolled at KIU Academy

This is where the foundation of my personal values was formed. I started out with absolutely no English ability, but improved to the point of being able to go straight into a U.S. university

Enrolled at the Florida Institute of Technology, majoring in Environmental Science

I had a very enjoyable study-abroad life. However, while it did not stand out in high school, my traits of ADHD and perfectionism (difficulty prioritizing things, over-valuing assignments, a tendency to procrastinate, focusing too much on parts rather than the whole, etc.) caused me to stumble over report-assignments. I began attending the university counselling center

Enrolled with the aim of assisting in developing countries and dreamed to work globally

Interned at Nippon Polyglu Co., Ltd

I thought I had joined the dream company. However, during a business trip to Bangladesh I realized that “assisting developing countries” was not truly what I wanted to do—and I was stunned by this realization… (Later, through counselling I realized that what my parents expected of me I had confused with what I wanted to do.)

Drifted for about four years as a NEET, a cram-school tutor, and a university staff member

I didn’t know what I really wanted to do, and I continued in a depressed-like state. It was during this period that I encountered the blog “The Recommendation of Correct Negativity” by psychologist Takashi Sugita in Tokyo

Received cognitive-therapy from Mr. Sugita

From here my mind gradually recovered and I became able to face my feelings

Started working as a teacher at my alma-mater KIU Academy

Following my inner voice “I want to teach,” I started my career as a teacher. I taught mathematics and science in junior high & high school. My classes became popular among students — they said “fun and easy to understand!”—and I became convinced that teaching is my calling

Began tutoring part-time

At this time I began considering independence

Resigned from full-time school teaching and began double-work as a university staff member and a private tutor
Started my sole-proprietor business under the name International Tutor Osaka

Gained the confidence that I could make private tutoring my main occupation and embarked on a new start
