Other Details

How to set up filming for the online lesson

For online lessons, students are asked to prepare the following two items:

A built-in or external webcam showing their face

ノートパソコンの内臓カメラでオンライン授業時に生徒様のお顔を映します。内臓カメラが無い場合は外付けカメラをご購入ください。

A smartphone mounted on an arm stand to show your hand-work.

オンライン授業でお手元を映すためのスマホスタンド
*You can jump to the product page by tapping the photo above

By seeing the student’s facial expression when they are stuck, and checking their written work via the smartphone, we can intervene before wrong steps continue — thus providing more effective instruction.

A video linked below explains the setup clearly. (from 2:37~)*6

*6 Not only in Skype and Zoom, but you can also use the same method in Google Meet.

Payment Method

  • At the beginning of each month, we send an invoice for the previous month via LINE or email
  • Domestic bank transfer payment: by the 25th of each month (bank transfer fee borne by payer)
  • Overseas payment via Wise※7: by the 25th of each month (remittance charges covered by payer).

*7 For international payments, please use WISE, an overseas money transfer service.
Unlike other transfer services or bank wire transfers, which often involve currency exchange fees and intermediary bank charges, WISE only charges a transfer fee of about 1% of the amount sent.

Holidays

  • Generally closed on Saturdays and public holidays (lessons may be available)
  • Closed during year-end/New Year (Dec 29th – Jan 3rd), Obon (Aug 11th – 16th), Golden Week (Apr 29th – May 6th)

Make-up Lessons

  • If absence is notified in advance, a make-up lesson will be provided
  • Make-up must be booked within 2 months of the missed lesson
  • Check our Google Calendar link or contact via LINE to select your preferred time slot
    > ITO’s Google Calendar
  • If a lesson is canceled due to our circumstances, we will reschedule it
  • We do not accept make-ups for make-ups (i.e., no double transfers)

Sibling Discount

If we teach siblings, from the second student onward we discount ¥500 per hour.

We do not offer 1-to-2 instruction mixing different grades because lesson efficiency drops.
We appreciate your understanding.
